Why Canât I Claim My Profile with the Favikon Extension?

2. Check Extension Permissions
The Favikon extension requires specific permissions to function correctly. Hereâs how to check:
Open Google Chrome
Go to the Chrome Extensions page by typing
chrome://extensions/
in your browserâs address bar.Locate the Favikon extension and click on Details.
Confirm that:
The version is up-to-date (137.0.7151.40 / 21 May 2025).
"Automatically allow access on the following sites" is switched ON. This is 99% times the reason you see sign in button despite being signed in.
Make sure you have automatically allowed access to all sites.
3. Ensure Youâre Logged Into Favikon
The extension needs you to be logged into Favikon on the same browser where the extension is installed. Make sure to:
Sign in to your Favikon account on your browser.
Open your LinkedIn profile (or any supported site where you intend to use the extension).
Look for the âClaim this profileâ button, which indicates the extension is detecting your login.
4. Common Issues and Solutions
Problem: The "Claim this profile" button does not appear.
Solution: Verify that you have the latest version of the extension and that youâre logged into Favikon & Automatically allow access on the following sites" is switched ON in Chrome extension settings. This is 99% times the reason you see sign in button despite being signed in.

Problem: You've followed all steps, but it still doesnât work.
Solution: Revisit
chrome://extensions/
and confirm all settings are correct. Clear your browser cache or try reinstalling the extension.Solution: Make sure the account you are trying to claim is public.
