My Authenticity Score Looks Wrong or Hasn’t Changed

Find out how often your authenticity score updates, how to reset it, what to do if it looks wrong or hasn’t changed, and how to improve it.

Written by Rosemary Haddad

How often is my score updated?

It depends on your plan:

  • Paid plan: you can reset your authenticity score every 30 days.

  • Free plan: resetting your authenticity score isn’t available.

What if my score looks wrong?

The authenticity score is AI-generated, so it can sometimes be wrong. If you’re on a paid plan and your score still looks wrong after a reset, send us your LinkedIn profile link and our team will check it.

Why does my profile say “Not enough recent posts to score”?

You need at least 5 LinkedIn posts from the last 6 months. Each must be at least 7 days old and have at least 10 comments from other people. Once you have enough posts that meet these conditions, your score will be calculated.

How can I improve my score?

  • Encourage real conversation under your posts, for example by asking questions and replying to comments.

  • Share your own work, ideas and experiences.

  • Use your own images and videos, or credit the original creator.

  • Keep your engagement genuine and avoid engagement groups.

Frequently asked questions

I just posted. Why didn’t my score change?
A post needs to be at least 7 days old to be included, so its engagement has time to settle.

Will I be penalized for using AI to write my posts?
No. AI-style writing only counts when another engagement signal is also found.

Should I delete generic or emoji comments?
No, there’s no need to delete any comments. The score looks at the overall picture of your engagement.

Can you tell me who left the generic comments?
No. The score never identifies the people behind specific comments.

Will my score change again?
If you’re on a paid plan, you can reset it every 30 days. Authenticity is also coming to more networks.
